Ma a quanto pare i due non si riconoscevano, cos\u00ec come sembra essere connaturata la mancata ricezione di certa arte svizzera. In ogni caso, la ricezione intensiva di Walser da parte dei musicisti \u00e8 iniziata solo molto tempo dopo la sua morte - anche se ci sono delle eccezioni. Roman Brotbeck ce le racconta nei primi capitoli del suo denso libro: come un dimenticato compositore e critico berlinese (James Simon) mise in musica due poesie gi\u00e0 nel 1912. Come un direttore di coro che lavorava a Bienne (Wilhelm Arbenz) abbia trovato un tono diverso con tre canzoni. Come un compositore emigrato in Svizzera (Wladimir Vogel) abbia frainteso i testi di Walser e li abbia trasformati in un dramma d'artista. Solo con Urs Peter Schneider \u00e8 iniziata una continua e fruttuosa ricerca su Walser, che in questo caso si \u00e8 protratta per mezzo secolo e ha dato vita a un cosmo davvero sfaccettato.<\/p>\n<p>Brotbeck racconta queste storie di accoglienza in modo fondato. Analizza, ma non in maniera spicciola. Al contrario, lascia che i dettagli parlino da soli ed elabora i contesti. Naturalmente, questo non \u00e8 sufficiente per riassumere il numero esponenzialmente crescente di ambientazioni walser. Brotbeck varia quindi la presentazione in modo inventivo, in modo che il lettore non si stanchi di leggere l'elenco, ma prosegua con curiosit\u00e0. Singoli capitoli sono dedicati a Heinz Holliger, ad esempio, il pi\u00f9 importante compositore di ambientazioni musicali, e al greco-francese Georges Aperghis, che nel suo periodo a Berna lavor\u00f2 con Walser, Paul Klee e Adolf W\u00f6lfli. Un capitolo ciascuno tratta delle opere liriche basate sui romanzi di Walser e di altre drammatizzazioni. Brotbeck sceglie poi un'unica poesia, la breve \"Beiseit\", e la presenta in 21 ambientazioni. E cos\u00ec via. Il punto finale \u00e8 costituito dai progetti non eseguiti\/non realizzati di Johannes Fritsch e Hans Zender.<\/p>\n<p>Dietro a questo - altrimenti sarebbe noioso e si userebbe questo libro solo come opera di consultazione - c'\u00e8 un'immensa ricchezza di metodi analitici, che prendono piede sul piano puramente musicale, ma fanno luce anche sui rapporti con la parola, illuminano le drammatizzazioni con i loro retroscena e infine includono anche Walser stesso. Il poeta come \"compositore di se stesso\": a questo tema \u00e8 dedicato il capitolo iniziale. Sequenze di suoni, costellazioni polifoniche, ritmi intricati si ritrovano nei testi, mostrando Walser come un creatore estremamente consapevole e in ascolto - nonostante la leggerezza apparentemente casuale che i suoi testi hanno sempre.<\/p>\n<p>La pubblicazione, che \u00e8 stata sostenuta dal Fondo Nazionale, \u00e8 quindi un compendio che nessuno potr\u00e0 evitare in futuro di ricercare ambientazioni walseriane. Naturalmente, non pu\u00f2 essere completa, poich\u00e9 Walser continua a essere musicato e ci possono ancora essere scoperte nel passato. Poco prima di andare in stampa, Brotbeck ha ricevuto un riferimento a una canzone che l'illustratore e compositore dilettante Marcus Brehmer una volta suon\u00f2 e cant\u00f2 ai fratelli Karl e Robert Walser a Berlino e che, come scrive, \"cre\u00f2 uno stato d'animo meravigliosamente sublime, piuttosto ultraterreno, di unione\".
