L'intraprendente direttore della Collezione di strumenti musicali di Willisau, Adrian Steger, e l'organista Zeno Bianchini hanno prodotto una registrazione poco appariscente all'apparenza, ma una chicca per organologi e storici della musica. Bianchini lavora a Stockach (Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg). Nella Cappella di Loreto si trova un organo positivo di Johannes Christophorus Pfleger (1602-1674). Questo organo, insieme alla mensola di Pfleger del 1644, che si pu\u00f2 vedere oggi a Willisau, \u00e8 l'unico strumento superstite di questo importante costruttore di organi di Radolfzell (Lago di Costanza) e Thann (Alsazia).<\/p>\n

La mensola originale superstite fu costruita per il convento di Frauenthal (cantone di Zugo) e, secondo una nota del 1688 nel diario della badessa Verena Mattmann, veniva utilizzata per accompagnare il canto gregoriano. Il collezionista di strumenti di Lucerna Heinrich Schumacher (1858-1923) acquist\u00f2 la mensola Pfleger dalle monache cistercensi e la espose insieme ad altri strumenti musicali nelle sale di un albergo. La collezione Schumacher fu poi trasferita al Museo Richard Wagner di Tribschen e nel 2010 a Willisau. Questo strumento ad ancia suonabile del XVII secolo \u00e8 stato ora documentato per la prima volta in una registrazione sonora. Bianchini alterna su entrambi gli strumenti opere di Frescobaldi, Ferrini, Froberger, Buxtehude e altri compositori italiani e tedeschi del XVII secolo.<\/p>\n

Quattrocento anni fa, la mensola era la preferita nelle case e nelle chiese. Ma le nostre orecchie devono prima abituarsi a questo suono speciale. Questo amplia la nostra idea di musica pre-barocca.<\/p>\n
