Foto: zvg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Il pianista svizzero Timon Altwegg e la violista moscovita Hana Gubenko, noti per il loro amore per la scoperta, hanno al loro attivo una nuova pubblicazione che sorprende esclusivamente con opere sconosciute di compositori ebrei. Dalla versione non datata <em>Poesia sefardita <\/em>A parte Aaron Yalom (1918-2002), sono stati tutti composti nel breve periodo dal 1972 al 2012 e sono impegnati nella forma sonata in modi molto diversi.<\/p>\n<p>Le due composizioni pi\u00f9 recenti, la 2\u00aa Sonata di Frank Ezra Levy (nato nel 1930) e la <em>Sonata ebraica<\/em> di Graham Waterhouse (nato nel 1962), recano dediche ai due interpreti, che vanno elogiati per l'impegno profuso in tutti i brani con la stessa dedizione e convinzione.<\/p>\n<p>Il brano di apertura del CD, pubblicato quest'anno da Edition Kunzelmann, \u00e8 gi\u00e0 uno dei preferiti, <em>Poesia sefardita<\/em> di Yalom, ha un grande potenziale di sorpresa. Il compositore, nato nei pressi di Ginevra da immigrati polacco-ebraici e morto a New York, ha creato un pezzo di forte individualit\u00e0 basato su un tema lirico e arricchito da una grande brillantezza pianistica. Anche la sonata per viola 1 di Ernst Levy, compositore, pianista e didatta nato a Basilea, ha questo carattere, poich\u00e9 non ci sono indicazioni verbali di tempo o marcature di esecuzione in nessuno dei quattro movimenti.<\/p>\n<p>Nel <em>Sonata ebraica<\/em> di Waterhouse, che d\u00e0 il nome al CD, presenta la canzone popolare yiddish citata nel movimento centrale simile al Kaddish <em>Oyfn Pripetshik<\/em> il riferimento ebraico pi\u00f9 chiaramente udibile al titolo dell'opera.<\/p>\n<p>Le due composizioni del figlio di Ernst Levy, Frank Ezra, si rivelano un'aggiunta particolarmente gratificante al repertorio. Dal primo movimento <em>Sonata Ricercare<\/em> con i suoi frequenti cambi di tempo, la seconda Sonata si distingue per la sua eleganza francese, per il fluire fluido della melodia pi\u00f9 accattivante e per i maggiori contrasti: punti sonori dell'organo e attacchi martellati implacabili si alternano efficacemente a ripetizioni meravigliosamente delicate di note nella viola e a ritmi jazz argutamente intercalati.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<dl class=\"picture media photo\">\n<dt><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media photo aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/old.musikzeitung.ch\/imaging\/stk\/musikzeitung\/article-image-left\/website\/de\/rezensionen\/tontraeger\/2017\/01_02\/sonata-ebraica\/content\/01\/imageBinary\/Ebraica.jpg\" alt=\"Image \" \/><\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p><em>Sonata ebraica (composizioni di Aaron Yalom, Ernst Levy, Frank Levy, Graham Waterhouse).
