Tutte queste edizioni colpiscono per la loro meticolosit\u00e0 e forniscono interessanti informazioni di base. La pi\u00f9 recente di queste pubblicazioni comprende \"Easy Piano Pieces and Dances\".<\/p>\n<p>Il curatore Jon\u00e1\u0161 H\u00e1jek commenta giustamente questo titolo: \"L'appellativo di 'Pezzi facili per pianoforte' dovrebbe essere trattato con cautela. Si tratta di brani meno impegnativi dell'opera pianistica di Suk, ma che richiedono non solo un certo livello di preparazione tecnica, ma anche una certa flessibilit\u00e0 dovuta ai sottili cambiamenti emotivi in uno spazio relativamente piccolo\". A proposito di \"leggerezza\": potrebbe essere uno dei talenti speciali di Suk quello di riuscire a trasmettere sia la \"leggerezza\" che la \"profonda pesantezza\" in egual misura e talvolta persino contemporaneamente.<\/p>\n<p>La raccolta inizia con un valzer <em>Humoresque, <\/em>seguito da un'elegiaca <em>Pagina dell'album<\/em>. Il terzo numero, un numero espressivo <em>Adagio, ma non troppo<\/em>proviene dalle composizioni pianistiche op. 12 ed \u00e8 dedicata alla successiva moglie Otilie. Il seguito <em>Andante<\/em> proviene da una raccolta, ovvero la Suite op. 21.<\/p>\n<p>Il seguente <em>Serenata del villaggio<\/em> e <em>Minuetto<\/em> mostrano l'amore di Suk per la danza e la musica popolare. Anche il n. 9 <em>Canzoncina<\/em> e n. 11 <em>Polka da <\/em><em>Vysok\u00e1<\/em> appartengono a quest'area, anche se quest'ultima non \u00e8 propriamente una composizione di Suk. Pare che la polka sia stata \"suonata da musicisti per il maestro Dvo\u0159\u00e1k 30 anni fa\". Suk la scrisse a memoria e la arrangi\u00f2 per pianoforte.<\/p>\n<p>Il n. 7 \u00e8 senza titolo e proviene dal ciclo <em>Primavera<\/em> op. 22a. Un brano breve e malinconico, di grande effetto come il successivo intitolato <em>Come una madre cantava al suo bambino malato durante la notte<\/em> (dalla raccolta <em>Da parte della mamma<\/em> op. 28). Suk le scrisse per il figlio in memoria di Otilie, morta in giovane et\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p><em>Barzelletta spagnola<\/em> appare qui in stampa per la prima volta. Si tratta di un saluto scherzoso a un amico, inviato su una cartolina da Madrid. Il breve brano inizia con ritmi spagnoleggianti e termina con una citazione della canzone popolare <em>Dov'\u00e8 la mia casa<\/em>che in seguito divenne la parte ceca dell'inno cecoslovacco. Per inciso, Suk scrisse un commento spiritoso alla citazione, in cui esprimeva la sua \"voglia di gnocchi\".<\/p>\n<p><em>La vigilia di Natale<\/em> infine, probabilmente cita una melodia slovacca. \u00c8 una versione estesa della canzone <em>Saluti agli studenti in Slovacchia<\/em>. Questo suggestivo brano per pianoforte \u00e8 la perla dell'intero libretto e fu pubblicato il 4 gennaio 1924, esattamente nel giorno del 50\u00b0 compleanno del compositore.
