Foto: Anne Colliard<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Insieme al bassista, i batteristi costituiscono spesso la sezione ritmica di un gruppo e quindi le sue fondamenta. Dal punto di vista del batterista e compositore Marcol Savoy, tuttavia, le cose possono essere molto diverse: il musicista, formatosi alla Haute Ecole de Jazz de Lausanne e al Conservatorio di Losanna, ama essere al centro del suono e integrare costantemente nuovi elementi nel suo modo di suonare la batteria jazz. Per il suo nuovo album <em>Improvvisazioni<\/em> ha collaborato con il pianista francese Alfio Origlio, che si caratterizza, tra l'altro, per l'incorporazione di caratteristiche della chanson nel suo modo di suonare jazz. Come si evince dalla copertina dell'album, le 17 tracce sono tutte improvvisazioni. In linea con il background del duo, i brani sono caratterizzati non solo dal jazz, ma anche dalla world music e dalla musica classica. Insieme, i due intraprendono un viaggio in un mondo sonoro contemplativo, concentrandosi in particolare sulla risonanza e sul silenzio. Nessuna delle composizioni raggiunge i 4 minuti, alcune rimangono addirittura sotto i 120 secondi, il che le fa sembrare delle istantanee.<\/p>\n<p>Mentre la musica in <em>Canzoni <\/em>cautamente a tentoni in un mondo onirico sconosciuto, la successiva <em>Nuits<\/em> non solo pi\u00f9 elegiaco, ma anche sempre pi\u00f9 sicuro di s\u00e9. Si pu\u00f2 letteralmente sentire il dialogo tra batteria e pianoforte che guadagna slancio, approfondendosi e a volte intensificandosi e culminando infine in pezzi come la sottilmente eseguita <em>Diffuso <\/em>o il sempre pi\u00f9 forte rumore <em>Sabbie<\/em> flussi. Ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 particolarmente piacevole ascoltare \u00e8 il continuo processo di sviluppo della musica, che non si adagia mai sugli allori e rimane sempre curiosa. Questo si traduce in stati d'animo e sfumature sempre nuovi, a volte meditativi, a volte ronzanti.
