Vent'anni fa ha formato con Barbara Lehnhoff il gruppo rock sperimentale Peter Kernel, che ancora oggi non ha perso nulla del suo originale spirito avventuroso. Poco dopo \u00e8 nata la sua etichetta discografica, la On the Camper Records. Oltre all'alter ego di Lehnhoff, Camilla Sparksss, la sua attuale cerchia comprende l'arpista Kety Fusco, la band psichedelica Monte Mai e l'archeologa y\u00e9-y\u00e9 Julie Meletta. Con Mort\u00f2ri, Bassetti intraprende ora il suo progetto solista. Un tentativo urgente di esplorare i sentimenti oscuri associati all'\"amore\", scrive, citando come influenze Ornella Vanoni, Gino Paoli, il Sud America, la musica popolare italo-svizzera e la \"musica araba\".<\/p>\n<p>I primi risultati, riassunti in un EP, rivelano le loro radici italiane soprattutto nelle melodie vocali e nei testi, che Bassetti ha scritto nel dialetto ticinese in via di estinzione. Il suono \u00e8 cos\u00ec particolare che si potrebbe quasi pensare che abbia inventato questa lingua. Bassetti d\u00e0 libero sfogo alle sue tendenze sperimentali nella strumentazione, senza mai perdere il contatto con melodie gradevoli. Cos\u00ec <em>O'l Amur<\/em> guidato da un riff di vibrafono e basso, da un flauto e da bonghi iperattivi. Con <em>GDC<\/em> abbiamo a che fare con una specie di combo (elettronico?) di fiati e violoncello e <em>La Gata <\/em>avrebbe vinto il Festival di Sanremo in un mondo migliore.
