Estratto dalla copertina dello spartito<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p>Le fantasie e i ricordi del virtuoso belga Adrien-Fran\u00e7ois Servais (1807-1866) sono tra le opere tecnicamente pi\u00f9 impegnative del repertorio violoncellistico. Non per niente il compositore era conosciuto anche come il Paganini del violoncello, poich\u00e9 le sue opere spingono il virtuosismo ai limiti del possibile. Un grande successo \u00e8 stato il suo <em>Grande Fantaisie su motivi dell'opera Le Barbier de S\u00e9ville di G. Rossini<\/em> op. 6. In essa, Servais varia motivi d'opera popolari quali <em>Buona sera, Ecco ridente in cielo<\/em> o <em>La testa vi gira ma zitto, dottore.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nel 1958, il violoncellista francese Maurice Gendron (1920-1990) ne cre\u00f2 una propria versione da concerto, in cui utilizz\u00f2 l'aria di Rossini <em>Una voce poco fa<\/em> Inser\u00ec il tutti per abbellire le cadenze e infine vari\u00f2 il tema di Figaro come coronamento del finale. Questa pi\u00e8ce de genre ha cos\u00ec ricevuto un tocco personale da questo eccezionale virtuoso.<\/p>\n<p>Gendron ha anche adattato al proprio gusto numerose altre opere di compositori famosi per la propria pratica. Non considerava i loro modelli come un rigido testo originale, ma come la base per una libera esplorazione artistica. Un esempio molto noto \u00e8 la sua versione del <em>Pezzo capriccioso<\/em> op. 62 di Peter Tchaikovsky, pubblicato da Schott (CB 212).<\/p>\n<p>La nuova edizione del <em>Fantaisie<\/em> op. 6 \u00e8 stata eseguita dal violoncellista svizzero Walter Grimmer, che ha reso omaggio al suo maestro Maurice Gendron in occasione del suo centesimo compleanno nel 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<dl class=\"picture media photo\">\n<dt><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media photo aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.musikzeitung.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/06_crit_note_Cello_Gendron.png\" alt=\"Image \" \/><\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p><em>Adrien-Fran\u00e7ois Servais: Grande Fantaisie sur des motifs de l'op\u00e9ra Le Barbier de S\u00e9ville de G.
