Le dodici fantasie per viola da gamba sola (TWV 40:26-37) sono caratterizzate da una variet\u00e0 di stili e idee musicali, nonch\u00e9 da un'espressione e un carattere propri, che le rendono particolarmente interessanti per un arrangiamento.<\/p>\n<p>La loro trasposizione per il flauto rappresenta una sfida particolare. Poich\u00e9 la viola a sei corde ha una gamma pi\u00f9 ampia rispetto al flauto, la curatrice Leona R\u00f6tzsch ha solitamente trasposto le fantasie verso l'alto di una terza minore o maggiore. Ci\u00f2 significa che sono necessari meno spostamenti di ottava. La rispettiva tonalit\u00e0 originale \u00e8 indicata. Negli arrangiamenti, la gamma si estende da B' a G''', con alternative per il Bb minore. A differenza del flauto, la viola da gamba consente un'ampia gamma di accordi e di doppi fermi. Nelle trascrizioni, questi passaggi sono spesso arpeggiati o spezzati. Leana R\u00f6tzsch trova soluzioni interessanti a questo proposito nel Grave della Fantasia n. 4, ad esempio, dove sostituisce la progressione originale in doppi stop con frasi preludenti intorno alle due note del doppio stop.<\/p>\n<p>Gli eleganti arrangiamenti delle fantasie per viola da gamba rappresentano un'entusiasmante espansione del repertorio per flauto traverso e flauto traverso e aprono
