La notizia ha fatto il giro del mondo. Nella primavera del 2024, la Morgan Library & Museum di New York ha fatto una scoperta straordinaria setacciando un'eredit\u00e0: un valzer in la minore finora sconosciuto, scritto dallo stesso Chopin. E \"molto probabilmente composto da lui stesso\".<\/p>\n

La casa editrice Henle non ha esitato a lungo e ora ha pubblicato il breve pezzo insieme a un facsimile nel formato originale. \u00c8 sorprendente rendersi conto che l'autografo ha ovviamente le dimensioni di una cartolina! Un'ampia postfazione dell'editore Jeffrey Kallberg ripercorre le origini di questo sorprendente ritrovamento e giunge alla conclusione che questo manoscritto era originariamente destinato a essere regalato. Chopin occasionalmente deliziava i suoi conoscenti con tali doni.<\/p>\n

Durante la riproduzione si notano alcune stranezze. Le prime battute suonano tutt'altro che invitanti. Le dure dissonanze portano gi\u00e0 a uno sfogo quasi brutale in triplo forte nella settima battuta (raro in Chopin). Poi inizia il valzer vero e proprio, anche se ricorda pi\u00f9 una mazurka. Stranamente, il compositore scrive per tre volte una terzina di sedicesimi, che in realt\u00e0 dovrebbe essere annotata in crome. Una svista? E le dissonanze dell'inizio riecheggiano ancora e ancora. Questo accade anche alla fine del valzer alla battuta 24, che potrebbe quindi essere esteso in un infinito giro di danza in caso di dacapo, dato che l'inizio e la fine sono cos\u00ec strettamente legati.<\/p>\n

Se il breve brano era davvero inteso come una dedica, questo dono aveva certamente un sapore agrodolce. Forse \u00e8 un'indicazione della paternit\u00e0 di Chopin?<\/p>\n

Una parola sulle diteggiature di cui \u00e8 responsabile Lang Lang. Non \u00e8 esattamente un segno di grande cura quando passaggi assolutamente identici (come le battute 2 e 4) sono segnati con numeri diversi. Anche altre indicazioni (come quella per la cadenza finale) sono sorprendenti. L'editore avrebbe dovuto tenere d'occhio il famoso virtuoso...\"\"<\/p>\n
