L'agilit\u00e0 di questo basso, l'azionismo agile e talvolta selvaggio, un gesto di allontanamento dalla scena free jazz londinese, spesso addomesticata dalla struttura che proviene dalla nuova musica. Erano gli anni '70.<\/p>\n<p>Il contrabbassista britannico Barry Guy, che vive da tempo in Svizzera con la moglie, la violinista Maya Homburger, ha percorso diverse scene, tra cui quella della musica barocca. Si \u00e8 esibito pi\u00f9 volte a Donaueschingen. E qui tutto si riunisce in modo unico. L'LP da un litro e mezzo (con lati A, B e C) riserva alcune sorprese.<\/p>\n<p>Solo l'opera di Iannis Xenakis <em>Terapie<\/em> \u00e8 diventato un classico con il suo vigore bruitistico e giocoso. Gli altri quattro compositori, pur essendo tutti ancora in vita, sono stati un po' eclissati; vale la pena riscoprirli. Sapevano come utilizzare le qualit\u00e0 improvvisative e teatrali di Guy in una variet\u00e0 di modi: Bernard Rands, ad esempio, con <em>Memo<\/em> o John Anthony Celona con <em>Voci<\/em>. La voce del contrabbassista si unisce, sussurrando e fischiando. L'italiano Luca Lombardi ha composto un brano politico <em>Saggio<\/em> con la citazione di Paul Dessau, e l'altoatesino Hubert Stuppner ha scritto con <em>Espressioni<\/em> un rond\u00f2 per un clown - che \u00e8 meravigliosamente illustrato con foto in questa edizione LP: Qui il basso suona con se stesso dal nastro - un bell'esempio dell'esuberante vitalit\u00e0 che il teatro strumentale possedeva ancora in quegli anni.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c8 una cosa che appartiene al passato?
