I musicisti temevano di dover ottenere complicati permessi speciali per viaggiare con archi di pernambuco, il che avrebbe compromesso le tourn\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>L'albero di pernambuco, albero nazionale brasiliano dal 1978, \u00e8 stato aggiunto all'elenco ufficiale delle specie vegetali in pericolo del Paese nel 1992. Nel 2007, il Brasile ha ottenuto la sua inclusione nell'Appendice II della Convenzione CITES, con un'esenzione per i prodotti finiti come gli archi.<\/p>\n<p>Nel proporre l'inserimento del Pernambuco nell'Appendice I della CITES, il Brasile ha sottolineato che oltre il 90% del legno raccolto viene scartato durante il processo di produzione, in quanto considerato inadatto alla fabbricazione di archi professionali a causa dei severi standard di qualit\u00e0.
