Non solo suonava il pianoforte, ma scriveva anche diverse composizioni proprie, ispirate all'ambiente circostante. In una lettera Suk descrive in modo vivido e toccante come nacquero queste composizioni: \"Una volta, dopo il mio ritorno da un viaggio, mi confess\u00f2 che aveva anche composto alcuni brevi pezzi per pianoforte. All'inizio era imbarazzata a suonarli per me, ma quando finalmente riuscii a farglieli suonare, fu felicissima quando presi una matita e scrissi tutto come l'avevo sentito da lei\".<\/p>\n<p>In questo modo sono stati conservati quattro brani per pianoforte: <em>Humoresque, Lullaby, Joschi sul cavallino<\/em> e <em>Il caro pap\u00e0<\/em>. Eva Prchalov\u00e1 li ha ora pubblicati tutti e quattro in un'edizione esemplare con B\u00e4renreiter Prague. \u00c8 la prima volta che quest'ultima appare in forma stampata. (La casa di Praga si \u00e8 sempre distinta per le sue eccellenti edizioni).<\/p>\n<p>I brani sono abilmente impostati per il pianoforte, moderatamente impegnativi e incantano per la bellezza del suono, le armonie distintive e un fascino tutto loro. Otilie Sukov\u00e1 mor\u00ec troppo presto, all'et\u00e0 di soli 27 anni, un anno dopo il suo famoso padre.
