Non c'\u00e8 dubbio che questo genere si sia estinto dopo il 1740 e non sia stato pi\u00f9 utilizzato nella musica per fortepiano, ma anche i pianisti traggono vantaggio dalla conoscenza di questa letteratura, che probabilmente faceva ancora parte del repertorio dei cosiddetti classici successivi. Fa quindi scalpore la scoperta di 26 suite (Parthien) finora sconosciute di Gottlieb Muffat (1690-1770), organista viennese e insegnante di musica imperiale, figlio del violinista e organista Georg Muffat (1653-1704), nel patrimonio della Singakademie di Berlino, restituite da Kiev nel 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Il clavicembalista Glen Wilson ne ha pubblicati cinque per la prima volta; un sesto era gi\u00e0 disponibile nell'edizione di Christopher Hogwood (Ut Orpheus, 2009). Ci\u00f2 dimostra che vale la pena studiare questo compositore, finora riconosciuto soprattutto grazie alle sue opere pubblicate nel 1739 con il titolo di <em>Componenti musicali <\/em>stampato otto suite. Le sei nuove suite, che sono sopravvissute solo in forma di manoscritto, possono competere in termini di stravaganza, portata e requisiti tecnici con le <em>Componenti <\/em>ma in essi Gottlieb Muffat si dimostra anche un esperto dei vari linguaggi musicali dell'epoca, che integra nei suoi preludi, movimenti di danza e pezzi di carattere.<\/p>\n<p>Dobbiamo essere grati all'editore per l'attenta trattazione degli ornamenti di Muffat nella prefazione e nel testo principale, che contribuiscono notevolmente all'effetto brillante di questi brani. La maggior parte degli esecutori avrebbe probabilmente bisogno di un aiuto simile per quanto riguarda la disposizione dei finali e l'inserimento delle cosiddette \"petites reprises\", che richiedono soluzioni che non si trovano necessariamente nelle note. Muffat era noto per la sua coerente divisione della notazione tra le due mani o pentagrammi. Fortunatamente, Wilson ha mantenuto questa divisione nelle chiavi moderne (G2 invece di C1). Tuttavia, rimane problematico quando due figure ritmicamente identiche nella stessa battuta occupano una quantit\u00e0 ineguale di spazio nell'incisione moderna (ad esempio nel Balletto della Suite in la minore) e le note che non sono suonate simultaneamente sono quasi direttamente l'una sopra l'altra in entrambi i pentagrammi (ad esempio Adagio, Allemande della Suite in re minore). La stampa originale dell'opera di Muffat <em>Componenti musicali <\/em>ci avrebbe insegnato come stampare la musica in modo bello e facile da usare ancora oggi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div
