Foto: Bains News Service \/ Biblioteca del Congresso<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Prokofiev inizi\u00f2 a scrivere vocalizzi per voce e pianoforte per la sua amata cantante Nina Koshetz a New York nel 1920. Termin\u00f2 questi cinque <em>Canzoni senza parole<\/em> durante una tourn\u00e9e in California. Nel 1925, a Parigi, Joseph Szigeti, Pawe\u0142 Kocha\u0144ski e Cecilia Hansen gli chiesero di arrangiare le melodie per violino. Kocha\u0144ski contribu\u00ec alla riorganizzazione della parte per violino; la parte per pianoforte rimase invariata. I brani furono pubblicati dall'Edition russe de Musique di Berlino nel 1925. Da allora fanno parte dell'importante repertorio violinistico.
