Foto: Oliver Weber\/pixelio.de<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p>Per coloro che si stropicciano gli occhi quando guardano questa partitura, va detto subito: s\u00ec, \u00e8 il compositore di <em>Tosca<\/em> o <em>Turandot<\/em>e no - le 7 sonate, i 6 versetti e le 4 marce qui pubblicate hanno poco a che fare con lo stile di Puccini cos\u00ec come lo conosciamo dal palcoscenico dell'opera. Discendente di una famiglia di musicisti che ha plasmato la vita musicale della citt\u00e0 di Lucca per quattro generazioni - il padre era, tra l'altro, organista della cattedrale - Giacomo Puccini entr\u00f2 certamente in contatto con la musica sacra in tenera et\u00e0, impar\u00f2 a suonare l'organo e fece la sua prima apparizione pubblica come organista. Dal 1872 al 74 fu impiegato come organista aggiunto presso la cattedrale e lavor\u00f2 presso la chiesa di San Girolamo fino al 1882. A questo periodo sembrano risalire anche le 61 opere organistiche finora inedite, di cui Carus presenta qui un'edizione selezionata; una pubblicazione completa sembra essere prevista nella Puccini Complete Edition.<\/p>\n<p>Anche se si avverte ancora poco della successiva raffinatezza tonale di Puccini, con questi lavori egli si inserisce in una tradizione caratterizzata da compositori come Vincenzo Petrali o Padre Davide da Bergamo: Piccoli movimenti vivaci che ricordano la musica per ottoni o le opere di Rossini, brevi e di facile esecuzione, che rivelano un compositore sicuro di s\u00e9 che gi\u00e0 scriveva con disinvoltura e che qua e l\u00e0 accenna persino a un ritorno a uno stile pi\u00f9 \"serio\" di composizione di musica da chiesa. Per inciso, anche l'organista olandese Liuwe Tamminga, che lavora a Bologna, ha pubblicato una registrazione di queste opere con l'etichetta Passacaille (PAS 1029). Grazie agli organi che Puccini potrebbe aver conosciuto o suonato, d\u00e0 una buona impressione di come anche la musica che sembra un po' semplice sulla carta possa essere orchestrata magnificamente su uno strumento adatto.
