Una magia si cela in questi brani cross-over, che vi porteranno in lunghi viaggi, non solo in terre lontane, ma anche ai limiti del violino convenzionale.<\/p>\n<p>Con <em>Violino, viola e altro<\/em> e la controparte <em>Violino e violoncello e altro<\/em> Igudesman ha ora esteso la strumentazione dei duetti per includere la combinazione tonalmente molto attraente di violino e uno strumento ad arco inferiore. Nella sua spiritosa prefazione, incoraggia i violinisti a suonare anche la viola. La sua battuta preferita sulla viola: \"Cosa possono fare i violinisti meglio dei violisti?\". Risposta: \"Suonare la viola\". Si dice che la versione con il violoncello sia il risultato di numerose richieste da parte delle violoncelliste di avere finalmente duetti Igudesman per il loro strumento con il violino. Un compito che l'autore ha voluto intraprendere solo lui. I brani sono gli stessi in entrambi i libretti.<\/p>\n<p>La gamma dei duetti si estende dal folk irlandese al <em>Hava Nagila<\/em> e <em>La Cucaracha <\/em>a canzoni dell'Europa dell'Est e del Caucaso, tutte tradotte da Igudesman nel suo linguaggio musicale e commentate in modo istruttivo e umoristico nell'indice. Ma non mancano nemmeno gli adattamenti classici, come la <em>Andante Mozartoso<\/em>il secondo movimento (abbreviato e trasposto in do maggiore) del Concerto per pianoforte e orchestra in do maggiore K. 467, e <em>A Richard non piacer\u00e0!<\/em>una versione klezmer della Cavalcata delle Valchirie e del Coro della Sposa <em>Gestita fedelmente<\/em> da <em>Lohengrin<\/em>. Wagner, l'antisemita dichiarato, potrebbe rivoltarsi nella tomba!<\/p>\n<p>Il livello di difficolt\u00e0 violinistica dei duetti \u00e8 intermedio, ma una buona lettura delle note \u00e8 un vantaggio. Ci\u00f2 che conta di pi\u00f9, tuttavia, \u00e8 la curiosit\u00e0 per le cose nuove e sconosciute.
