Foto: Monika Rittershaus\/Opernhaus di Zurigo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Il Grand Guignol, questo pomposo spettacolo di Punch and Judy proveniente dalla Francia, tende al mostruoso, all'irreale e al surreale, anche se da tempo \u00e8 stato superato e sorpassato dalla realt\u00e0. Il Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Grand Guignol di Pigalle, inaugurato nel 1897 e che sconvolgeva il pubblico con torture, stupri e omicidi sanguinosi, chiuse il 5 gennaio 1963 perch\u00e9 non poteva competere con Buchenwald. L'arte non si avvicina alla realt\u00e0. Lo sanno bene i due artisti che hanno creato un nuovo \u00abGrand Guignol Op\u00e9ra\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Il loro punto di partenza \u00e8 l'inutilit\u00e0 dell'impresa; ciononostante, tentano di mandare nel mondo due vampire a loro immagine e somiglianza: forse per salvarlo, dopotutto, o almeno per eliminare il peggior tiranno, un \u00abre-presidente\u00bb le cui sembianze reali vediamo ogni giorno al telegiornale. Falliscono miseramente; il presidente, dopo tutto, viene mangiato da un altro mostro, il resuscitato Gorgonzilla. Tuttavia, la fine del mondo non pu\u00f2 essere fermata in questo modo: un diluvio spazza via tutto. Foto: Monika Rittershaus\/Opernhaus di Zurigo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Divario tra testo e musica<\/h3>\n<p>L'opera <em>Il paradiso dei mostri<\/em>, che ha debuttato all'Opera di Stato di Amburgo il primo febbraio e viene ora proiettato a Zurigo, ci porta su un treno fantasma lussuriosamente apocalittico verso l'abisso. Con un sacco di spettacolo e di agitazione. Questo rende la distopia divertente. Gli abissi artistici si annidano altrove: non nel mostruoso, di cui si potrebbe certamente fare di pi\u00f9, ma nel ritmo teatrale, spesso rallentato dalla rassegnazione e dalle dichiarazioni di buone intenzioni. \u00abNon siamo pi\u00f9 richiesti\u00bb, canta un vampiro proprio all'inizio. \u00abVenite a me, tutti coloro che sono pacifici e vogliono rimanere tali!\u00bb sono le prime parole di Gorgonzilla. Non \u00e8 questo il modo di fare arte eccitante e aggressiva. Ma viene subito da chiedersi se i due autori non vogliano proprio questo, se non ci stiano portando fuori strada.<\/p>\n<p>L'idea di questo teatro musicale fu della compositrice Olga Neuwirth, che riusc\u00ec a convincere la librettista di sempre, l'amica Elfriede Jelinek, da tempo stanca dell'opera, a scrivere un testo comune. Ma \u00e8 proprio con questo testo che c'\u00e8 un problema. Egli divaga e fa la predica, divagando, a volte facendo la predica, a volte sarcastico, a volte piatto. Le parole si bloccano. La prima scena, ad esempio, non decolla. Si pu\u00f2 ammettere che tale banalit\u00e0 faccia parte del genere, come un'anti-qualit\u00e0 che contrasta il buon gusto. Tuttavia, la musica suona fin troppo ricca, vivace, raffinata, colorata, jazzistica e spiritosa. A questo si aggiunge una scenografia colorata ma a volte poco fantasiosa. Il regista Tobias Kratzer e il suo team a volte faticano a far muovere le schermaglie, ma riescono a creare immagini magnifiche nei momenti culminanti. La battaglia dei mostri con Gorgonzilla (Anna Clementi) e il Presidente (eccellente: Georg Nigl) diventa un teatro d'ombre pi\u00f9 grande della realt\u00e0. La scena finale nel mare inonda l'occhio e l'orecchio grazie all'uso sapiente dei dispositivi cinematografici che Neuwirth ama tanto. C'\u00e8 tanto da vivere, quasi troppo, perch\u00e9 tutte le scene, anche quelle veramente riuscite, sono troppo lunghe e ingombranti. Lo spettacolo potrebbe essere ridotto di un buon terzo. L'unica cosa che andrebbe persa sarebbe la precaria non-qualit\u00e0 che caratterizza in qualche modo l'opera.<\/p>\n<p>Ma in questo momento, il critico comincia a sospettare che ancora una volta stia cercando di differenziare troppo e che nel farlo si stia perdendo la fine del mondo.
