La personalit\u00e0 del compositore, scomparso nel 2017, era altrettanto, per cos\u00ec dire, problematica quanto la sua opera, costellata di contraddizioni e rotture produttive.<\/p>\n<p>Corinne Holtz \u00e8 stata la prima a fare questo tentativo e ha scelto una forma non convenzionale per la sua biografia. Quattro degli otto capitoli sono scritti dalla prospettiva in prima persona del compositore, che lo pone in una posizione quasi intima rispetto al lettore. A prima vista, sembra una finzione letteraria, ma \u00e8 ampiamente documentata in modo corretto con innumerevoli note a pi\u00e8 di pagina. L'io composito che emerge \u00e8 un puzzle di dichiarazioni scritte e orali di Huber, lettere, voci di diario e conversazioni con i suoi discendenti, in gran parte inedite.<\/p>\n<p>La meticolosa ricerca di Corinne Holtz ha portato alla luce anche molti dettagli privati della vita di Huber. La figlia Katharina Rikus ha aperto volentieri gli archivi di famiglia a questo scopo. La parte relativa all'infanzia e alla giovinezza, dominate da un padre severo e per nulla esemplare, \u00e8 rivelatrice: un classico superego da cui il compositore tardivo non riusc\u00ec mai a liberarsi.<\/p>\n<p>Purtroppo le opere sono un po' trascurate nella dettagliata biografia. Solo l'opera <em>Terra nera<\/em> di cui l'autrice ha accompagnato la produzione al Teatro di Basilea nel 2001 in qualit\u00e0 di giornalista. In un intero capitolo, apparentemente frutto delle sue ricerche presso la Fondazione Sacher di Basilea, l'autrice cerca indizi sul tema della Sacher e del nazismo, che sa di socialismo morale coltivato con fervore dalla sinistra culturale svizzera e che qui sembra un corpo estraneo.<\/p>\n<p>L'ampia documentazione con note, fonti e bibliografia occupa oltre cento pagine, un terzo del libro.
