Si sono riuniti grazie alla comune inclinazione per il k-punk di Mark Fisher, critico musicale e teorico culturale inglese scomparso nel 2017. E cosa ne hanno fatto il pianista Stefan K\u00e4gi e il compositore Michael Emanuel Bauer? Hanno preso il tardo ciclo di canzoni di Othmar Schoeck Riverbero<\/em>, K\u00e4gi e Robert Koller, che lo hanno considerato \u00abnello spirito della hauntologia di Derrida\u00bb e lo hanno rielaborato. Il punto di partenza \u00e8 insolito quanto il mix che ne deriva: K\u00e4gi interpreta il ciclo insieme al basso-baritono Robert Koller; all'originale si affianca un aggiornamento testuale e musicale, \u00abAfterimages\u00bb di Bauer. Infine, il musicista sperimentale tedesco Gunnar Geisse ne remixa alcuni brani. Il tutto ha un titolo in inglese: Schoeck vs. Bauer O quale futuro desiderate?<\/em> Dove siamo?<\/p>\n

Lo stato emotivo \u00e8 sentimentale: un ritorno, una contemplazione \u00e8 centrale, come il titolo Riverbero<\/em> chiarito. Schoeck era consapevole della sua posizione di tardo post-romantico, persino in una certa misura di epigono. E l'ha riscoperta nelle poesie di Nikolaus Lenau e Matthias Claudius. La rassegnazione risuona - e poi si riversa su Bauer, che la spezza in molti modi diversi. Stilisticamente sorprendente, ci sono echi dalla storia della musica. Ci sono sempre echi. Questa rifrazione \u00e8 assolutamente necessaria, poich\u00e9 il tono di Koller, che sa essere un abile mediatore, scivola a volte nel sentimentale e nel melenso con Schoeck. Ma forse \u00e8 proprio questo il senso di un simile assemblaggio. In seguito, per\u00f2, sembrano artificiosi e non integrati i remix di Geisse, che probabilmente vogliono rappresentare un'eco del futuro agognato.\"\"<\/p>\n
