Dinamico, entusiasta di scoprire nuovi campi e di trasformare ci\u00f2 che scopre, il compositore lascia la sua impronta su tutto ci\u00f2 che incontra.<\/p>\n<p>Le sue opere per coro a cappella sono state scritte nell'arco di pi\u00f9 di mezzo secolo: dall'ambientazione del salmo <em>Exaltabo te, Domine<\/em> (1958) e la sequenza <em>Stabat mater <\/em>(1962) sulla <em>De profundis<\/em> (1996) e la preghiera <em>Prosimy ci\u0119 <\/em>dal Libro di Daniele (2009) alla <em>Missa brevis<\/em>che \u00e8 stato presentato per la prima volta nel gennaio 2013. Si tratta di un gruppo omogeneo di opere, sebbene siano state composte in diversi periodi e utilizzino linguaggi differenti. Il compositore si rif\u00e0 alla pratica secolare della chiesa di condurre i fedeli alla devozione con tutta la variet\u00e0 della musica, che si tratti di inni corali, canti di chiesa o canti antifonali tra i versetti dei salmi. Il compositore scrisse anche una serie di pezzi liberi dedicati ad amici o legati a eventi speciali. Questo \u00e8 particolarmente vero per il <em>Missa brevis<\/em>creato per l'800\u00b0 anniversario del Coro di San Tommaso.<\/p>\n<p>I tratti caratteristici della musica di Penderecki sono la continuit\u00e0, lo stile lento e narrativo, la densit\u00e0 e la bellezza dell'armonia e un elaborato contrappunto. La maggior parte dei testi utilizzati sono tratti dalla Bibbia e dalla liturgia in latino.<\/p>\n<p><em>Exaltabo te, Domine<\/em> dal Salmo 30, per coro misto a quattro voci. Il <em>Stabat mater <\/em>richiede tre cori misti a quattro voci, cos\u00ec come il mottetto <em>In pulverem mortis<\/em>. Il <em>Miserere<\/em> \u00e8 un mottetto a tre voci con armonia statica per tutto il tempo. I tre cori comprendono anche un coro di bambini o di donne a due voci. Il <em>Alliluia<\/em> \u00e8 stato realizzato per due cori misti da sei a otto parti. <em>Sicut locutus est <\/em>inizia con due cori a quattro parti e arriva a sette parti. Il <em>Agnus Dei <\/em>richiede otto voci miste. L'inno <em>Veni Creator<\/em> \u00e8 segnato per quattro parti tenorili insieme a voci di soprano, contralto e basso. Il salmo <em>De Profundis<\/em> richiede tre cori misti, con tenori e bassi a quattro voci in alcuni punti. Il <em>Missa brevis<\/em> \u00e8 costituito dai consueti canti dell'Ordinario: Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus e Agnus Dei. Nel Kyrie, i tenori sono doppi, cos\u00ec come i contralti. Nel Gloria, tutti i registri sono raddoppiati e sono previste anche parti solistiche. Il Sanctus e il Benedictus sono scritti per coro femminile a quattro voci.<\/p>\n<p>Il volume contiene un totale di 19 opere per coro misto a cappella, alcune anche per coro maschile e alcune in russo.
