Arnold \/ pixelio.de<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p>Il frammento su cui si basa quest'opera, scritto da Felix Mendelssohn, comprende un movimento corale di <em>O testa piena di sangue e di ferite<\/em> nonch\u00e9 una sua variazione incompiuta, che si interrompe dopo ben 26 battute. Non c'\u00e8 certezza che il frammento di Mendelssohn sia collegato all'improvvisazione che egli suon\u00f2 nella chiesa di San Tommaso a Lipsia il 6 agosto 1840 e di cui Schumann rifer\u00ec: \"La conclusione era una fantasia di Mendelssohn\". Schumann ne parla cos\u00ec: \"Mendelssohn concluse con una fantasia (...); era basata su un corale, se non sbaglio, sul testo 'O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden', nel quale in seguito intrecci\u00f2 il nome di Bach e un movimento di fuga, e si complet\u00f2 in un insieme cos\u00ec chiaro e magistrale che sarebbe stato un'opera d'arte finita in stampa\".<\/p>\n<p>In occasione di un convegno a Lipsia, il frammento serv\u00ec inizialmente all'organista sangallese e specialista di improvvisazione stilistica Rudolf Lutz come base per una versione improvvisata, che divenne poi la versione scritta qui pubblicata in un secondo momento. Un interessante resoconto del lavoro, pubblicato nella relazione del congresso <em>Questo meraviglioso, impressionante strumento - L'organo nell'epoca di Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy<\/em> (Breitkopf e H\u00e4rtel 2011, che include una registrazione della sonata), documenta l'approccio di Lutz e dimostra in modo impressionante come le considerazioni analitiche e stilistiche sulla composizione (organistica) mendelssohniana e l'approccio creativo dell'improvvisatore esperto - e in particolare (come Mendelssohn) formato su Bach - si compenetrino, si stimolino e si completino a vicenda. Il risultato \u00e8 un'opera della durata di un buon quarto d'ora, che costituisce una gradita controparte alle sei sonate \"canoniche\" di Mendelssohn e si avvicina perfettamente al suo idioma (anche grazie ad alcuni affascinanti echi delle opere originali del compositore). Nonostante tutta la maestria, tuttavia, non si ha mai l'impressione di un movimento \"sovracomposto\"; la sonata conserva la freschezza e l'impeto di un'eccezionale improvvisazione.<\/p>\n<p>In termini di tecnica esecutiva, i tre movimenti si collocano all'incirca nella gamma delle sonate pi\u00f9 difficili (terza\/quarta) di Mendelssohn. Anche se solo due delle 18 pagine della partitura risalgono a Mendelssohn e le altre sono state scritte solo nel 2007. Questa \"nuova\" sonata dovrebbe essere un'interessante aggiunta al repertorio tedesco del primo romanticismo!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<dl class=\"picture media photo\">\n<dt><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media photo aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.musikzeitung.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Lutzklein.jpg\" alt=\"Image \" \/><\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p><em>Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy \/ Rudolf Lutz.
