Le sonate per viola da gamba (Wq 136, Wq 137, Wq 88) sono ancora un po' oscurate dalle note sonate per lo stesso strumento del padre Johann Sebastian (BWV 1027-1029).<\/p>\n<p>Le opere di musica da camera, ciascuna in tre movimenti, risalgono al periodo in cui C. P. E. Bach era a Berlino come clavicembalista alla corte di Federico II di Prussia. In termini di fascino strumentale, non hanno nulla da invidiare alle sonate del padre. Il musicologo tedesco Ernst Fritz Schmid (1904-1960) scrisse nel 1931: \"Gli assoli di violino sono entrambi scritti in modo molto gratificante per lo strumento; in nessun'altra opera di musica da camera del periodo berlinese, a parte alcuni assoli di flauto, Bach tenne cos\u00ec tanto conto del carattere dello strumento per il quale stava scrivendo (...)\".<\/p>\n<p>Le due prime sonate (Wq 136, Wq 137) sono impostate per l'accompagnamento del basso continuo. La successiva terza sonata in sol minore (Wq 88) utilizza il tipo di obbligato a tre parti e segue quindi il modello delle sonate del padre.<\/p>\n<p>L'edizione Henle non lascia nulla a desiderare: la musica \u00e8 chiara e ben organizzata, la qualit\u00e0 della carta \u00e8 eccellente; la parte solistica contiene pagine pieghevoli che risolvono perfettamente i problemi di rotazione.
