Estratto dal frontespizio<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p>I brani per pianoforte solo sono tanto rari nella letteratura classica quanto nel jazz, ma sono una vera rarit\u00e0 nella musica popolare. Hans Frey (1913-1973) di Lachen era un tempo celebrato come un maestro indiscusso in questo campo dagli appassionati di nicchia e favorito da Radio Berom\u00fcnster. Senza alcuna formazione musicale o conoscenza della musica, ma dotato di grande talento e di un orecchio assoluto, l'accordatore di pianoforti di Ausserschwyz ha lasciato 43 danze per pianoforte solo. In occasione del centenario della sua nascita e del quarantesimo anniversario della sua morte, il commerciante di musica di Wollerau Mathias Knobel ha pubblicato queste polke, l\u00e4ndler, mazurche, marce e schottisches, alcune delle quali virtuose, in una raccolta completa di spartiti.<\/p>\n<p>Come \u00e8 noto, la musica country ha attribuito al pianoforte solo un ruolo secondario come strumento di accompagnamento ritmico e armonico, e in alcuni luoghi \u00e8 addirittura disapprovato del tutto. Frey, che ovviamente ascoltava anche i pianisti ragtime e stride, non si accontentava di una funzione di sideman. Gi\u00e0 in giovent\u00f9 invitava occasionalmente i compagni di scuola a \"Concerto e sciroppo\" nel B\u00e4ren, dove poteva esercitarsi anche a causa della mancanza di un pianoforte proprio. Alla sua prima e unica lezione di pianoforte, si dice che l'insegnante, esasperato, lo abbia mandato via immediatamente perch\u00e9 suonava tutto subito. Ben presto i notabili del villaggio lo portarono fuori dall'aula scolastica per mostrare il bambino prodigio ai loro ospiti.<\/p>\n<p>Fredy Reichmuth, collaboratore di lunga data di Knobel alla fisarmonica e al pianoforte, ha trascritto meticolosamente le note delle registrazioni di Frey nelle chiavi originali. La sua predilezione per i tasti neri si riflette gi\u00e0 nei primi due numeri in re bemolle maggiore. Mentre la mano sinistra \u00e8 in grado di eseguire crotchets tra bassi d'ottava e accordi a tre parti, la mano destra pu\u00f2 indulgere in esecuzioni di croma in terza o sesta. Non si tratta quindi di letteratura per principianti, soprattutto quando Frey si concede un settenario per ospitare un passaggio cromatico tra due battute.<\/p>\n<p>Questo bel volume di spartiti, che contiene anche una biografia compatta con foto, \u00e8 probabilmente tecnicamente fuori dalla portata dei pianisti l\u00e4ndler dilettanti. \u00c8 quindi ancora pi\u00f9 adatto ai curiosi che desiderano sfidare i pregiudizi sulla \"semplice\" musica country. Le 43 danze dovrebbero interessare soprattutto i pianisti alla ricerca di un complemento autoctono e concreto ai valzer di Chopin o di Fats Waller. Poich\u00e9 la maggior parte del repertorio L\u00e4ndler \u00e8 disponibile solo in notazione semplificata (melodia, eventualmente seconda parte e cifratura degli accordi), gli spartiti dettagliati di Frey potrebbero essere interessanti anche come oggetti di studio per l'analisi e la sistemazione stilistica.
