Hertel ha lasciato un'ampia opera che comprende pi\u00f9 di 40 sinfonie, musica da camera, oratori, passioni, messe e salmi e cantate. Compose anche odi profane, singspiels e cantate festive. Era particolarmente interessato ai concerti solistici: ci sono opere per clavicembalo, organo, arpa, flauto, oboe, fagotto, tromba, violino e violoncello.<\/p>\n<p>Edition Walhall ha ora pubblicato il Concerto per violoncello e archi in tre movimenti in La maggiore, completato nel 1755, in una meticolosa edizione della serie <em>Il violoncello concertato - Concerti per violoncello del XVIII secolo<\/em> pubblicato per la prima volta. La dettagliata prefazione dell'editore Markus M\u00f6llenbeck offre una visione della vita e del lavoro del compositore. Il concerto \u00e8 una ricca testimonianza dello stile sensibile della musica tedesca antica o preclassica, ma \u00e8 un po' meno esteso dei concerti di Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach o di Anton Fils. La gratificante parte del violoncello non \u00e8 eccessivamente virtuosistica. Arriva fino alla sesta posizione (nota pi\u00f9 alta b') e pu\u00f2 essere padroneggiata anche da studenti avanzati e dilettanti.
