La sua figura \u00e8 stata commemorata in numerosi concerti, pubblicazioni e registrazioni in CD, tra cui questa registrazione della sua musica da camera integrale per clarinetto. Che questa registrazione abbia qualcosa in pi\u00f9 della completezza diventa immediatamente chiaro nella Sonata in si bemolle maggiore op. 107: il complesso intreccio e la complessit\u00e0 armonica della musica di Reger sono messi in luce in modo cos\u00ec naturale nella sottile e intelligente interpretazione del clarinettista svizzero Stephan Siegenthaler e del pianista tedesco Kolja Lessing che si pu\u00f2 provare la meraviglia di un cosmo autonomo durante l'ascolto. N\u00e9 il clarinetto n\u00e9 il pianoforte si avvicinano mai a un'esibizione da concerto. Il calore sommerso e semplice del ricco mondo interiore di Reger contrasta con i suoi brevi e agitati sfoghi.<\/p>\n<p>Le stesse qualit\u00e0 caratterizzano anche l'esecuzione delle due Sonate op. 49, che Reger scrisse nel 1900\/1901 sotto l'influenza della Sonata per clarinetto op. 120 di Brahms. I brevi brani individuali <em>Pagina dell'album<\/em> e <em>Tarantella<\/em> sono stati composti probabilmente nel 1902 e rivelano sfaccettature sconosciute e affascinanti del mondo sonoro di Reger.<\/p>\n<p>Il fulcro di questa registrazione \u00e8 il Quintetto per clarinetto e quartetto d'archi op. 146 del 1915\/16, l'ultima composizione completata di Reger: una musica leggera, a tratti quasi estasiante, che ricorda Mozart.
