Nella prima registrazione di una serenata del direttore d'orchestra di corte viennese Antonio Caldara, ammiriamo il ritratto di una giovane donna mascherata il cui volto e il cui decollet\u00e9 sono ricoperti di farfalle colorate. L'opera offre molto che potrebbe accendere l'immaginazione di ascoltatori e lettori.<\/p>\n<p>Caldara ha scritto<em> La concordia de' pianeti <\/em>1723 come regalo di congratulazioni e omaggio per l'imperatrice Elisabetta, all'epoca incinta. Il nome del genere va preso alla lettera: La serenata fu eseguita per la prima volta all'aria aperta - a ciel sereno. Sebbene il libretto presenti la consueta sequenza di recitativi e arie da capo, le differenze rispetto a un'opera sono rilevanti. Nel finale ci sono quattro cori invece del consueto tutti operistico; invece di una trama progressiva, i vari dei dell'Olimpo greco cantano a rotazione alla futura madre imperiale. Le arie degli dei sono musicate secondo le loro diverse personalit\u00e0; Marte, ad esempio, canta con l'accompagnamento della tromba (n. 28), <em>Da mia tromba<\/em>). Senza tensione, senza una storia, il tutto potrebbe diventare noioso. Tuttavia, la musica rimane abbastanza varia, spesso con un carattere danzante e mai malinconico.<\/p>\n<p>Soprattutto, l'orchestra barocca La Cetra diretta da Andrea Marcon offre un'esperienza musicale scintillante. La Cetra \u00e8 una parte importante della vita musicale di Basilea, soprattutto per la produzione annuale al Teatro di Basilea. I musicisti sono molto apprezzati anche all'estero; la Serenata di Caldara \u00e8 stata eseguita e registrata a Dortmund nel gennaio 2014. L'orchestra suona in modo eccellente: energica, precisa e piacevole da ascoltare. I cantanti sono in grado di rimanere complessivamente a questo livello. La leggerezza e il gusto nell'ornamentazione di Carlos Mena (Marte) meritano una menzione speciale, ad esempio nella sua aria <em>Non v'\u00e8 bella che non creda<\/em> (n. 12). La voce di Franco Fagioli (Apollo) \u00e8 di grande effetto, ma una pronuncia un po' pi\u00f9 chiara non guasterebbe (n. 13), <em>Cos\u00ec ch'io dal suolo alzai<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Il libretto fornisce tutte le informazioni sull'opera e sul compositore che si possono desiderare quando ci si avvicina per la prima volta all'opera; il libretto \u00e8 stampato in quattro lingue.
